London Marathon – 28 April 2019

KRDF volunteer Mr Arif Ali took part in Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday, 28 April 2019 in order to raise funds for KRDF projects. After completing his run, Arif made the below comments

“What a day it was yesterday, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Even better, the fact my knee didn’t cause me a problem, unless I stopped. Upto mile 20 I was gunning for 03:46, and couldn’t believe how comfortable I was feeling, alas severe cramp in the last 6 miles dictated and took over me, and ended at 04:16:34. I would have taken that before I started the race, so still happy. There will be other times to get to my target time 🙂

Still overjoyed, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a fantastic atmosphere. Looking at my official pictures, I’m still smiling at the end, which is unbelievable

Thanks to my support team on the day, you guys made it worthwhile. Finally, thanks to everyone who got me to the start line, and also supported me remotely from their homes.

And, by the way, fundraising doesn’t finish here, you can still support my fundraising at http://bit.ly/krdf-vlm
